Every aspect of this wedding was dreamy, winter, gorgeousness.
We froze our tits off. But it was SO worth it!
There's a few things that stand out to me about this wedding, outside from the fact that of course Siobhan and Jason have that perfect love connect and it literally shows.
First thing: he has the typical army buddies and she has the typical girlfriends. And when I say typical, I mean the kind that you only see in movies. The jokes and the stories and the just the whole personality of Jason & his army buddies was so fun to be around. The boys literally CRIED during the toasts - which included a toast with their inside joke of Coke cans. Then her group of girlfriends was so tight knit, that I knew they had her back in every way. They were the perfect bridesmaids..and it was real and they meant it. You know how rare that is?! This was a great group of people that was a good time to be around. *future bridal parties take notes!
Second: the attention to detail and then the complete execution spoke volumes. I shoot various types of weddings each year, all varying in the effort put in. The Smicks' wedding was that perfect balance of attention to detail and authenticity.
Third: they were in the moment. Again, this is a rarity. Enough so that it is worth mentioning. To be clear, there definitely was a plan and a shot list that kept us on track, HOWEVER all those smiles are not forced. Other than some simple direction for poses the rest was all them. They allowed us to shoot candidly for most of the day which in turn came out flawless.
